NUNC Assembly is a thematic, annual Alternate-Reality Symposium with a narrative-driven program of workshops, talks, panel discussions and performances.

The third edition spans over four days, during which participants are invited to enter into the fictional world of “Basement9”, to be immersed in a multi-sensorial experience. In this instalment, we explore the theme of “POWER” in the age of Information.

With daily Morning Workshops, Afternoon Talks, Panel Discussions and Evening Showcases ranging from Classical Music and Opera to Electronic beats and Audiovisual projections, NUNC Assembly III is here to cross-pollinate forgotten dreams.

Venue Partner: The Program will be hosted at A House Ark, an iconic brutalist facility in the center of Stockholm.

We are proud to have with us the Creator of The Stanford Prison Experiment, and author of "The Lucifer Effect" - (Professor Emeritus), Dr. Philip Zimbardo, as our headline speaker. We will have the unrepeatable chance to involve Dr. Zimbardo in the narrative.

EGO of LOLA / Machine Learning with Playform

"When digging through lost terminals and hacked API's, a snippet was discovered, rumoured to be a clue to the Book of LOLA: a collection of stories fundamental to the creation of LOLA. It has led us to decipher pages from the book. While the decryption was incomplete, it is still possible to understand some of the instructions.

The EGO of LOLA seems to be a ritual requiring sacrifices from at least 9 willing participants, both vocal and visual. Bring your own machine, prepare to let go, and together we will complete and conjure a visit - from beyond - to the Elsewhere. The last part of the decryption was never successful. I wonder what it said?"

In this workshop you will collaborate with Machine Learning models in order to create new visual and aural works, using your laptop. You need to attend both Part 1 and Part 2.

EYE of LOLA / Augmented Reality in Spark AR

Within the decrypted pages, words speak of the EYE of LOLA; an incantation providing the user with the power of divine sight, revealing truths in the eyes of others. Written in the decryption are words so powerful a single person can only be responsible for one, and it seems that if we let go of all 99 words the world will rumble, and eternal bliss will be upon the universe. There's a list of words, but speaking them out loud strains the tongue. Many of them are crossed over, seems like there's only a few left?

In this workshop you will learn the basics of building Augmented Reality experiences using your own laptop and a mobile screen device. You need to attend both Part 1 and Part 2.

Metals, electricity, light and minerals blend in a homogeneous composition as we in complete silence explore creativity, aesthetics and communication. We create something tangible, something wearable, something unique. We make necklaces with silver, copper, gemstones and electronics with nonverbal instructions.
